We were just hanging out at a cafe when the cops showed up, which led to some shoving matches with the police—honestly, just a bunch of pointless chaos. We started heading toward the stadium, and a few guys approached us claiming they'd been jumped by some Russian fans. We headed over to the park where they said the attack happened, but there wasn't a soul in sight. As we kept circling the stadium, word got back that about thirty Russians had set upon five of our guys. That’s when things finally boiled over and we ran right into them. The Russians started throwing flares and fireworks, so our group responded by grabbing chairs from a nearby cafe and launching them at them; we went after the Russians, who backed off for a second. Then the police stepped in right between us and them and turned their attention toward us, so we pulled back to regroup. We launched another charge, caught three or four of the Russians off guard—they took some hits to the head—and once they got back up, the whole Russian crowd just retreated and cleared out. After that, we had another run-in with the police where they started using tear gas, forcing us to retreat again. Later, near the stadium, things got heated with the cops, a couple of officers ended up hurt, and eight of our guys were detained. We managed to break through the fencing and storm the opposing section, but eventually, everything settled down and things returned to normal.
AND AS FOR THEIR CLAIMS THAT WE WERE CONSTANTLY ATTACKING THEM—not a single person in our section was injured during those initial skirmishes!..................!!!!!!
