Nobody’s losing their minds over Lekić, but back in 2008, we were just as loud and pissed off as we were yesterday, even during that game in San Diego this season. Honestly, the police presence in the city was the absolute worst I've ever seen—it sends a hell of a message to those corrupt suits running the league. We're united against the darkness of the federation. Just a minute before charging the south stand, the cops were practically invisible. On the pitch, the team played like total cowards, and then you've got people in the parking lot eating burgers, and I’m looking at them thinking, "What are you guys celebrating? A terrible game? For hell's sake..."🙂The commissioner is powerful, sure, but I get the feeling this is where his reign starts to crumble.🙂

As for the cheering, people have been too blinded by the cult of personality surrounding Lekić after he was there for six years. In those six years, he only missed leading the chants once (back in 2008 at the stadium during the Dinamo match), and the energy was just as high. I think we should just listen to the leader and leave it at that. No need to overanalyze everything or judge how the leader looks or acts. Yesterday, there were three megaphones and three guys up on the railing, which is actually perfect. We just need to give the guys a chance; they're new to this and just getting started. It's not like we were chanting with Lekić on the railing every single game... let's take it slow. Time will tell.😉 |
