Since I don't have much experience with this—it’s my first time dealing with hemorrhoids (hopefully the last)—how long does this actually last?
It's an external one. It's been 8 days since it showed up, and I've been using cream for 5 days now. The instructions say not to use it for more than 7 days straight.
On the third day, it started bleeding, but ever since then, it's noticeably smaller. Still, there's a tiny bit of bleeding left and it still stings.
How much longer could this go on?

It feels like ever since the bleeding started, that intense pressure has eased up a bit—maybe it’s actually subsiding. I really hope that’s the case and it clears up soon, because honestly, this is far from pleasant.
I noticed a pretty significant blood stain on my underwear—it’s clearly been there since this morning and I think something burst. Should I be extra worried about this, or is it just a normal phase?
Does this change anything regarding the type of cream I should be using?

I’ve dealt with hemorrhoids for the first time in my life and I need some advice. The issue is I'm currently abroad in Ireland, so my usual doctor isn't exactly available to help.
I have no idea how this happened—I ate some spicy food the day before, strained a bit on the toilet, and felt a little sting, but I didn't think much of it at the time. It’s not like I eat spicy food constantly or anything. I've been in similar situations a hundred times before and nothing ever happened. It wasn't until it started burning this morning that I realized something was actually wrong. Now it’s stinging pretty badly—it's been three days—and I can feel it when I touch it, so it's external. Walking is a struggle, sitting is awkward, and I’m mostly just lying on my side... it’s not good. The only thing I've done so far is rinse with cold water and dab on some Nivea Soft. Maybe that’s not helping, but it was all I had on hand. What should I do? Is there some kind of go-to cream for this?
I'm planning to hit up a pharmacy today to look for something. Is there anything specific I should be looking for on the labels?
Please, just don't recommend any brands from back home, because you won't find them here.
