Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Hello there.

About six days ago, I started noticing a slight itch around my anus, but I didn't think much of it at the time. Honestly, I’ve never dealt with hemorrhoids before, so I wasn't even entirely sure what I was feeling.

Three days later, that mild itch turned into a stinging sensation that just kept intensifying. Wiping after a bowel movement became a genuine pain. After letting things slide for about six days, I finally headed to a local pharmacy, explained my symptoms to the pharmacist, and she handed me some hemorrhoid cream.

I don't think I have external hemorrhoids because I don't feel any lumps or swelling in the area, but the burning sensation on the inside is intense. To make matters worse, when I had a bowel movement today, there was a significant amount of blood—which is a first for me. The internal stinging and burning haven't let up. I read somewhere that internal hemorrhoids aren't supposed to be painful and only cause bleeding. Has anyone else experienced this level of intense internal pain?
