What else can actually be done about this bleeding? I’ve got this small external hemorrhoid—looks like grade 2—and I already went in for an exam. It’s such a tiny little bump that I don't get why no cream or pill seems to make it vanish. Honestly, there aren't any other symptoms—no pain, no itching, nothing bothers me. The only issue is that when I go to the bathroom, it cracks and bleeds—pretty much every single time. I've wasted so much money on creams and tablets; I feel like I've tried nearly everything from the local pharmacy to stuff online... the only thing that helps is taking a dose of Advil 500 mg, which stops the bleeding for maybe 2 or 3 days, but once it returns, we're right back where we started. It's driving me crazy. My hygiene is top-notch and I'm using the creams, but it feels useless. Maybe my diet could be better—I'll admit that. I stay away from soda, but damn, I love my beer, and I drink it daily. No other alcohol. I have a drawer full of creams, and it feels like I'm just applying them for nothing. If it doesn't crack, there's no blood—so I know it isn't coming from the inside. I can see exactly where it's happening when I wipe; the blood pulses right from the spot, almost like an artery.
The doctor told me to just adjust my lifestyle habits and it might clear up—said it's not an emergency surgery... and honestly, I'm terrified of surgery.
Does anyone have any actual advice on what else to try? The bleeding during bowel movements is the only real problem...

Hey, does anyone know for sure if Bank of America in Washington, D.C. performs hemorrhoid banding? I'm talking about the rubber band ligation method specifically.
