The search results were a complete mess. I honestly couldn't find what I was actually looking for. It was just endless lists of external hard drives or those weird adapter brackets for putting 2.5'' drives into 3.5'' bays—just a bunch of random junk I have zero use for.
Thanks for the link!
So, here's the situation. Ever since my laptop died—motherboard's toast—I've been stripping out all the working parts (the HDD, RAM, the Wi-Fi card, etc.).
I still have this Seagate HDD, and I was wondering if there's some kind of enclosure you can buy where I just slide the drive in and plug it into another computer, a TV, or whatever via USB?
What do you even call these things? And are they actually stocked at places like Links, HGspot, or Pandora?? If anyone could drop a link or give me a hand, I’d really appreciate it..
To be specific, the drive is a Seagate 250, 5400rpm, SATA 3.0Gb/s. Since it came from a laptop, it's definitely a 2.5'' drive—way smaller and thinner than those chunky ones used in desktops.
The machine was an HP 6830.. 😢
Hey everyone!
