Honestly, if you can't live without your glasses, you might as well just head over to Gluky—according to him, you could probably wear them right into surgery! And for those who can't go a day without their football? You could probably get back on the field in a week if you're careful about taking hits. But me? I think I'll wait a little bit 🙂
stormyharbor2- pretty much like that, just a slightly more open version, minus the hat and the Ray-Bans 🙂

Kate Taylor59- the surgery cost me about $2,000. I'm thinking that might be a bit much since it was also a reconstruction of what was already there... who knows? My old man is handling the finances... the hotel was, I think, $100 per person, something like that... maybe $55 for a bed with a discount because you're his patient... plus a view of the sunny Santa Monica pier packed with people 🙂... and breakfast in the morning, they bring it right to your bed...

They didn't keep the tubes in, but I basically slept with tampons in just for that first night after the surgery; by morning, they were already out... honestly, it was great in the morning, he picked me up in the car, took everything off, and we talked a lot... we all laughed at how I acted when I was waking up from anesthesia... while I was sleeping, I kept hearing this long "beeeeeep," probably because the anesthesiologist was just removing the EKG leads from my chest, so I actually asked the guy if I was still alive... then I called Glusac to ask him if he thought I was still sane... then my mom showed up and started asking her if they were absolutely sure about everything... god, what a mess! I had some lucid dreams, too—it was wild, I could hardly believe it... but nothing bad, mostly
Hey everyone!

So, I had surgery last night with Dr. Glusac, and honestly, I can’t say enough good things about him and his entire team... I highly recommend him if you're even considering it. Of course, I can't say if I'm 100% satisfied just yet since I can't see the final results, but even now, I can breathe way better than before! I've had a few nose surgeries in the past where previous doctors didn't quite finish the job, but it looks like he actually did it. He told me it was trickier than he initially thought because those old bones from my previous procedures had fused, so the surgery took quite a while, but he's happy with how everything turned out. I stayed at the Marriott since I was way too wiped out to drive back to Los Angeles; the hotel was great, and his patients get a discount—just like everyone else on this forum mentioned. He even came to pick me up in the morning and spent extra time with me while removing the packing, just chatting about everything. It's true what people say: he's incredibly professional and maybe a little bit arrogant, but I really think he has every reason to be. On the flip side, he's such a down-to-earth, likable guy and doesn't look down on people the way a lot of doctors do. My elderly relatives are absolutely thrilled with him...

Anyway, I hope I haven't rambled too much and that this helps someone make their decision.
Enjoy!

p.s. I think he might have a little obsession with sunglasses, because he mentioned several times that you can wear them after a day or two, even though others say that's nonsense... He even told me, "Go out tomorrow night, put on your shades, and grab a drink if you want, you'll be fine." Now I'm just picturing myself walking down the pier at midnight wearing bandages and sunglasses. People would definitely give me a wide berth when I go out for coffee in the morning! 🙂
