I had an X-ray done on my knees yesterday and just got the results back. It says here:
"Images of both knees show normal bone structure and mineralization. There is mild bilateral narrowing of the joint spaces, suggesting early-stage bilateral gonarthrosis and femoropatellar osteoarthritis."
Could anyone help me out and explain what this actually means? The radiologist obviously didn't have much time to break it down for me.
Thanks in advance!
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
I’ve spent years playing soccer on asphalt, turf, and natural grass, and all that wear and tear has definitely taken its toll on my knees... I’ve twisted them, strained them, and honestly, gone through just about everything you can imagine😲 so I really want to get them checked out and see if there’s any way to fix the damage
What kind of experiences have you guys had with knee treatments? Does anyone have an orthopedist they’d recommend? Ideally, I’m looking for someone who takes Medicare since money is a bit tight right now—it's not like I can't walk or anything, but I'd love to handle this without unnecessary complications...
Thanks
Tendonitis or something else? in Health ·
About three weeks ago, I started feeling this dull ache just above my right ankle. There wasn't any swelling at first; it really only bothered me when I was walking around. After a few days, though, the pain seemed to migrate down toward the joint itself, and I noticed some slight swelling too. I tried rubbing some muscle rub on it, but nothing really happened until I switched things up with a warm compress—that actually provided quite a bit of relief.
Do you think this could be tendonitis or something else entirely? How should I go about treating this... would doing contrast showers—switching between hot and cold—be a good idea?
