At my place, an American could probably swap out the needle for 🙂
Routine business. We certainly didn't expect anyone to actually show up and say: we were wrong.

Fair enough. I’m starting to see that they were right. When a few people start acting like dictators and bullying everyone on a forum, if you don't push back, you eventually just have to walk away. They weren't the first to do this, and they won't be the last. I've seen this play out on other message boards before—a group splits off to start a new community, resulting in a smaller, more focused, and significantly higher-quality space.
Ryan Vaughn7 said:We should give the moderators a way to judge exactly when subtle trolling starts crossing the line into actual harassment. It would also be smart to set some ground rules right from the jump—basically defining where we draw the line on things like "uno zero" banter, calling people names, or just general nonsense. Clear boundaries from the start would help everyone.
When the biggest spammers start complaining, it usually means the job was done right.
Look, if we’re going to play it that way, we can just talk about what kind of moderator you actually are and what the users really think of you.
When the moderators initially stepped in to speed things up, the goal was to return this place to normal functioning. Normal functioning shouldn't mean stifling discussion to this degree. It’s true that the thread about primetime examples had turned into a major spam topic, but even within that clutter, there were plenty of constructive and interesting points. Now, we're swinging toward the other extreme where you can barely post anything without fearing an immediate deletion. Moderation shouldn't be a dictatorship. On the flip side, you have someone who actually understands the balance—one of the best moderators we've had here, Alex Cook. When he arrived, he cleaned house properly: handing out warnings where deserved, deleting the absolute junk, but leaving the content that actually related to the topic (even if it wasn't strictly direct). If we insist on being pedantic and stripping away everything that isn't a literal football statistic—ignoring everything else that's perfectly fine for a debate—you might as well just post a PDF formatted like this: "the Yankees 🙏, Judge 🙏, the umpire 👎 routinely☕"
If that's the direction you want to take, keep going. You're well on your way.

People were crying when this was just some dead thread about a top 5 league, back when everyone was just trolling because we clearly didn't have anything better to do... Now that things are actually happening, suddenly everything is wrong again 🤷
When they don't want us, we know exactly what needs to be done.🤷
You're exaggerating a bit. I get the intention to cut down on all the off-topic chatter and nonsense, but these measures are getting ahead of themselves.
The bickering has begun 🙂
papi and Anthony Jackson2 👋 🙂
So, darkmarlin16 actually won the competition?
Ferrari hasn't taken a win here in eight years. It's about time.
Alright, Ryan Vaughn7, here are a few suggestions:
imran zakhaev
mikidragi
blay
barhan
Anthony Jackson2
ibra08
The others you mentioned might not be interested or simply unavailable. As for the names I've listed here—are they willing and able? They should probably weigh in.

🤣🤣🤣😂
Look, we're discussing serious matters here. We all know you just want someone from your own camp so you can have an easy target to tear apart on your forums.

I know the drill, buddy. I know.
☕😁
It seems unlikely that none of our suggestions will 🤷 if they don't, then what's the reasoning?
Ryan Vaughn7 said:It’s coming, but check the email you used to register. It’s not like I have it open and refreshing constantly. I see notifications for this forum immediately if I’m online. I was actually just here, but I got distracted by the politics section. Once ambertinker41 called me out about the forum, Hamza and Resurrection were ancient history within sixty seconds.
Fair enough, I wasn't aware. I'll remember for next time.🙂
placidfalcon4 said:Give Casey White13 and Ronald Hall an amen. They've probably got two red cards between them anyway—not that they care, since they follow every single game regardless.
I disagree. Those two are just Mandrill fans.🙂 If we’re going to deal with Mandrill fans, we might as well include the Culés too.☕
Ryan Vaughn7 said:Just shoot me a private message if there’s an emergency. Same goes for everyone else.
Why don't the mods and supermods receive post reports as direct messages regarding the specific topics you're assigned to handle?
As for candidates, I suggest Blay, Barhan, Anthony Jackson2, Imran, or someone covering Serie A who isn't a troll. They just need to be impartial; the VRM/VB crowd wouldn't make very good choices.
