Who should I reach out to?

How does this process actually work?

Does anyone know who I need to contact to obtain a specific medication that isn't available here in the States, even though it is readily accessible in other European Union countries? For instance, in places like the Netherlands or the Czech Republic, patients can get it quite easily with a standard prescription.

The reason I'm asking is that I've been dealing with some incredibly difficult health issues lately. Over the last month, my arthritis and gout have become quite severe; my uric acid levels have spiked significantly, which causes painful buildup in the joints of my hands and feet.

I have managed to get hold of the only medications available to me locally, but honestly, they haven't provided any relief—neither the Allopurinol nor the Meloxicam for the pain.

I eventually came across information suggesting that in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic, there is a specific medication that successfully manages both arthritis and gout symptoms.

So, my question is: who in the US should I be contacting to try and secure this particular medication?
And what exactly is required to go about getting it?

Does anyone happen to know the official procedure for importing a medication from within the EU
now that we operate under these integrated standards, perhaps through the Department of Health and Human Services?

Which agency handles these types of requests?

And what documentation or steps are necessary to make this happen?

Could you please tell me how much time it actually takes for your body to return to its normal state?

Personally, I feel like I’ve gained twenty pounds entirely in my upper body—it's just concentrated in my arms, chest, and face.

I'm supposed to stop taking Decortin in just a few days.

But what happens after that?

What kind of follow-up care or medication do they provide once you stop, just to ensure you aren't physically restricted and can move freely again?

I've only been on these pills for three months; I started at 40 mg, then every two weeks
we reduced it by a quarter, so now I'm down to half a tablet, and in just a couple more days
I'll be down to a quarter and finally finished.

Is there anything specific I should do, or any particular method I should apply, to help me recover from this physical distortion as quickly as possible?

I honestly feel like an amorphous mass, and frankly, I'm terrified to even look at myself in the mirror.
