So, it looks like only the MPV is elevated. What does that actually signify? I had this CBC done alongside some hormone testing (prolactin and TSH). I'm 23 years old.
Sarah Flores said:Look, I don't really feel like scrolling through endless threads to find an official response... but I started getting this "period"—and I use quotes because it’s so light I’m basically just using daily liners—on day 18 of my cycle. It’s been going on for eight days now at this same low intensity, and mind you, by my usual math, I shouldn't even be due for another two days (day 28). Everything showed up perfectly fine on my ultrasound six months ago, and my Pap smear was clear too...
To be blunt, the thought of dragging myself back to the doctor makes me want to nap, so I’m just waiting to see how things settle over the next few days. In the meantime, though—has anyone else dealt with something like this?
I went through something almost identical about a week ago; my spotting started on day 18, even though my cycle usually runs about 35 days😲so, yeah, 18 days early. Except for me, it felt like a standard period and then it just stopped. Last month was actually incredibly light, much like what you're describing, and that one arrived five days ahead of schedule...🤷So, last month it was five days early and barely there, but this month it's seventeen days early and feels more like a regular duration. I haven't made it to the clinic yet either, mostly because I just can't bring myself to go... I'm just sitting here hoping I don't have to deal with this all over again in ten days.🙄
I’ve managed to get through one perfectly normal pregnancy without any drama.
A few months back, however, I started dealing with these bleeding issues.
After my period—which had always been completely regular—I began experiencing daily spotting. It wasn't heavy, per se, but it was accompanied by these absolutely debilitating pains and a sense of total exhaustion. Every single test, including my ultrasounds, came back perfectly fine; even the Pap smear showed nothing out of the ordinary. Eventually, it just stopped on its own.
And now, here we go again.😠
My lab work is fine, the ultrasound is clear, and the gynecologist says everything looks normal. There’s no UTI, no bacterial issues, and they’ve already ruled out an ectopic pregnancy. Yet, despite all those clean reports, I am still bleeding.
The pain is almost constant, and when the bleeding actually starts, the discomfort becomes borderline unbearable.
This non-menstrual bleeding has been dragging on for fourteen days now, and I can feel myself slowly losing my mind.😠
The doctors keep insisting they can’t find a physiological reason for the bleeding; all they’ve given me is a mountain of painkillers, but the underlying issue hasn't budged.
What am I supposed to do?
Has anyone else gone through something similar, or does anyone have any advice?
