Look, don't stress too much—honestly, Dr. Rajko Tončić will probably check you over again right before the actual surgery anyway. They have to map out the procedure or whatever. I had my consultation with Rajko Tončić, and then on the day of the surgery, they both went over everything with me again (both of them), which felt totally normal to me—plus, with how "nervous" I was, it was actually kind of comforting! You really just need to sit down and decide if you actually want this operation or not, you know? Like, how much does this matter for your own peace of mind... anyway, good luck! Let me know how it goes. 😉

I'm scheduled for the procedure in about a month—finally saved up enough cash... hopefully I can get back to my normal routine quickly because I have exams coming up and I really don't want to miss too much class. How long did your recovery take? Are you happy with how everything turned out? Can you walk me through what it was like? I am low-key freaking out right now, haha. Anyway, talk soon! 🙂))

Yeah, I was a total wreck too, especially on that day. But honestly, the nurses were so incredibly sweet and comforting that it actually helped settle my nerves before they rolled me in. Everything went by way faster than I expected, too...☕

Bokic! Look, having those tampons stuffed up my nose was super uncomfortable, and once we finally pulled those out—plus the mold and the tape—I felt like I could finally breathe again. I stayed home for about seven or eight days, and honestly? Forget about going to campus or grabbing coffee with friends during that time. Dr. Tony told me I needed to rest, so I spent the first three days just icing my neck, and I was basically forced to just lie around and chill, which actually wasn't a bad thing! Every day just gets better. My nose was a little swollen at first, but it went down gradually. It didn't really bother me because I knew it was just temporary. Basically, I was pretty much back to my normal self after about ten days—the only thing was I couldn't wear sunglasses for maybe two months.

I'm just trying to figure out the cost for purely cosmetic rhinoplasty with Dr. Tony—and also, does that price cover the follow-up appointments after the surgery? Or do I have to pay extra for those, just like the pre-op stuff (ECG, blood work, etc.)?

thanks

My bad, forgot to mention—you've got to factor in the extra cost for blood tests. It’s somewhere around $150$67, give or take. They didn't even end up needing an EKG for me.

I'm just trying to figure out how much cosmetic nose jobs cost with Dr. Tony—and also, does the price include all those follow-up visits? Like, am I paying extra for post-op checkups, or is everything from the pre-op stuff (blood work, EKG, whatever) already baked into the initial cost?

thanks

I went in about a year and a half ago for a rhinoplasty, and Dr. Tony was the one who did the procedure. The price ended up being $3333 (and yeah, I double-checked that recently because a friend of mine went this year, so we caught up and compared notes 😉)
After the surgery, I had to go back to get the packing removed and the splint taken off, which obviously didn't cost anything extra. Then there was another checkup about two months later, but honestly, I haven't needed to go back since then—there hasn't been any reason to. If you're asking me, I'd definitely recommend Dr. Tony, but look, the best move is to just go in for a consultation. Talk to him, see if you vibe with him, and decide for yourself if you trust him or not. 👍

Do you actually sound normal afterwards, or are you talking through your nose? Because Severina sounds like she's talking through her nose, and honestly, that blonde girl from the Big Brother house does too..

No hard feelings, right?🙂 Because if you say yes, then fine, I guess I'll start talking through my nose too, whatever.😁

I haven't heard of anyone having a nasal voice after getting their nose done... I talk perfectly fine, just like I did before... except now I actually look good! 😍

LOL! Honestly, that's pretty cute. You can actually resize it by messing with the resolution settings... give that a shot...

redridge15 said:It’s only been 18 days for me, and there's still some swelling. It’s not a disaster—honestly, anyone who doesn't know I had surgery wouldn't even notice. But I have a wedding to go to in 10 days. 🙈
Do you have any tips for speeding up the recovery? I’d love for the swelling to go down just a little bit more.
I’ve been bathing and massaging my nose (that's what the doctor recommended), but on some forums online, people are suggesting certain pills to help with healing and reducing inflammation. Have you heard anything about those??

Hey redridge15! Honestly, I’m not sure what would actually help you at this stage... I stuck to cold compresses—you know, that icy gel stuff—but that was right after the surgery. At this point, I think it’ll just have to settle on its own by the time the wedding rolls around! Or wait, did you already go?!?

Nancy Allen, what was the total cost for the surgery? And is it still possible to pay in installments?

Hey there! My mom actually opted for 6 monthly payments since that worked best for our budget at the time—the total came out to $3667. Honestly, they're pretty flexible; you could probably stretch it out much longer... I think even 20 installments or more is on the table if you need it. Look, my honest advice? Just give the Toncic clinic a call. They’ll lay everything out for you, no questions asked. I did the exact same thing—just called to grill them about the pricing—and they were totally transparent. I actually really appreciated that kind of openness!

redridge15 said:So, when exactly did you have that surgery?

Hey redridge15! My surgery went down on July 4th, 2008. It’s been over five months now—can you believe that?—and honestly, my nose looks awesome, and I’m feeling just as good as the reflection in the mirror.😉

I went through basically the exact same mental tug-of-war before I finally pulled the trigger on my now perfect nose! 🙂 🙂 If I may say so!!! But hey, I happened to stumble upon a recommendation for Toncic. And man, oh man, am I glad I did! 🙏 So, anyway, I booked a consultation, and first off—the clinic? Totally state-of-the-art, super modern vibes. During the consult, Dr. Toncic was incredibly informative (and trust me, I had a mountain of questions!) and just professional through and through. He walked me through exactly what would happen in my case, and since I’m a total layman, he did an amazing job explaining what to actually expect from the surgery and the whole recovery process. For instance—he used the closed technique, which means NO VISIBLE SCARS, and I didn't have to deal with wearing glasses for two months post-op! Plus, you really need a full YEAR for everything to settle and heal completely... etc., etc. (Look, I’m a philosophy major, so tissue regeneration isn't exactly my specialty 😍). After the exam, I ended up scheduling the actual surgery for just a week later—mostly because they offered a payment plan, and let's be real, I'm not exactly rolling in cash! My mom just swiped her card—split it into 6 installments! 😉Leading up to the surgery, I was a nervous wreck... but the nurses were so sweet and took such good care of me that I actually managed to chill out. I don't remember much during the procedure itself (it was local anesthesia with sedation—basically, they knock you out while keeping the area numb!) and by that afternoon, I was already back home. I looked like Hannibal at first—splint on my nose, tampons stuffed in there... lots of gurgling and breathing through my mouth... Once they took the tampons out, it felt better, but I was dying to get that splint off! Finally, when I saw my nose—even though it was swollen at first—I was, to put it mildly, ecstatic! Long story short, I couldn't be happier with my choice, so 👍 huge props to Dr. Toncic and my new nose! 😉
