I agree, she wasn't exactly posing on a red carpet after five days. Honestly, I don't think she even had her stitches under her nose visible yet, and those usually stay in for eight days. And they probably didn't even let her wash her hair at the salon, or her ears would still be soaking wet. Just... what? I feel like her nose could have turned out even prettier, to be honest. 🙄
I’ve been away for a while, so here is my report on the current situation: I had a revision consultation in Miami about ten days ago. To say the doctor there is a complete egomaniac and a know-it-all is an understatement... Anyway, I completely agree with sunnyday, and I’m so sorry she isn't participating in this thread anymore. (You were right; he thinks every other doctor is incompetent.)
In my opinion, the guy doesn't even have enough work because he told me I could go under the knife as early as tomorrow if I wanted. Also, just a heads-up, you can barely get a word in edgewise because he just rambles on—and mostly about things unrelated to my nose, like how someone else's nose was ruined by a previous surgeon and how they somehow blame him for it.Just imagine.
He showed me only two photos of his own noses; the profile looks okay, but from the front, they are just awful! He also bragged about how he fixed his sister's nose in the very first month, but I don't like it at all. Her nasal tip is way too large and bulbous, while the bridge is extremely narrow, which really doesn't suit her since she's a petite woman. It's just a disaster. Anyway 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎:f lop:
I also saw the other specialist, and I am completely satisfied with his approach. He is truly polished and has the manners of a highly educated professional (unlike the other guy, who was unshaven and swearing constantly), which honestly gives me confidence that I will be happy with the results. He isn't pushy at all; he actually listens to you before making suggestions. His office is wonderful, and the staff is great too. I felt truly comfortable during the consultation, and my appointment is set for June 7th.

If we're talking about an injection, then it stays right where it was put. You just poke the area, and if it feels firm and fixed—like it won't budge from the surrounding tissue—then it’s likely an injection. This usually happens when a hump is removed to ensure everything stays balanced and achieves that slightly contoured look. Anyway, they didn't do that for me. My surgeon explained the whole thing before the procedure. Honestly, the need for an injection is usually determined by the doctor during the surgery itself once the hump is removed... well, I hope that helps.

Hi everyone! Since my inbox is getting flooded and I can't possibly reply to every single DM individually: things are still the same on my end, and they'll stay that way because I don't have the cash for a revision surgery yet (for now). According to the doctor, what we're seeing is just some leftover cartilage; apparently, this happens in about 50% of cases, though it doesn't show up for everyone since healing is such an individual process. The main reason given—and if he's lying to me, then I'm lying to you—is that if the nose is packed too tightly with instruments during the procedure, it's hard to spot the issue, plus there's that immediate swelling from the initial tissue incision. Anyway, to actually fix this, a revision is required, which obviously comes at full price.🙂

I am attempting to massage the area, but even the slightest touch causes intense pain. I am at a total loss. This past month has been an absolute nightmare. To be honest, I don't think he realized this wasn't what I envisioned for my new nose (even though he knows), and I certainly didn't pay for this mess he created. I feel utterly disfigured. Honestly, he'll likely just dodge responsibility because he doesn't want the extra expense or the bad press, so I doubt he'll ever say, "I'm sorry, I could have done better, and I'll fix it on my own dime." I am mentally sinking under the weight of this. I will definitely file for a formal review if it stays like this, but the tragedy is having to wait an entire year for that process. Until then, I am stuck looking at this disaster. I am praying to God for mercy.

At my first follow-up, my surgeon told me it was far too early to make any assumptions. Well, this Thursday marks exactly one month since the procedure, and I have another appointment. Honestly, no matter how much he rambles, I can't find any peace of mind because I’m experiencing the exact same thing you are. It feels like my lump was just moved to a different spot, and now my nose looks twice as wide—it used to be quite slim from the front, even with the bump, but now I look like Tyson. I have no idea what is going on. I don't have the patience to wait indefinitely just to find out if this is permanent. I am truly worried, and I hate leaving the house looking like this because I feel like people are pitying me. I mean, God knows how much I expected from this surgery and how much I paid for it.

For me, the hump in the middle is gone, but the muscle under my lip was cut, everything feels tight, and it actually hurts a little. My whole nose looks bizarre, with this protrusion at the base of the cartilage near the nostrils that wasn't there before. It honestly looks like too much was scooped out from the center, making that part stick out too far. Anyway, I didn't notice anything until the cast—the strip—was removed a few days later. Now, things look worse than before; it's like my nose is twice as thick. Worst of all, it isn't soft to the touch, so I can't even comfort myself thinking it's just swelling. I don't even know if bone can swell. If it stays like this, I'll have to try to thin it out and flatten it.😠 😢I hate my whole face right now. My follow-up appointment isn't for another 15 days, so if anyone has words to calm me down or explain what is happening to my nose—which is driving me absolutely insane—please, please, please...
