Two's Complement Explained in IT Support ·
011001
011011+
110100
->using two's complement, that first bit is just the sign bit—so in this case, we're looking at -32
basically 110100 = -32+16+4 = -12
or if you prefer the other way, just pick whichever method feels faster once you get the hang of it—both work fine
Here’s the drill: flip all the bits, add one, then swap the sign at the end
1. 001011+1=001100 and then flip the sign to get -001100, which is -12 in decimal

WATCH OUT: you might end up with a number that actually needs more than 6 bits to store—meaning you hit an overflow—in that case, just toss that extra bit and carry on like normal

If I'm reading this photo right, you're looking at this motherboard.
Double check if it actually says: ALiveNF6P-VSTA—I couldn't see the whole thing so I just guessed the rest lol
So we're talking DDR2 tech here... speeds are 1066/800/667/533 MHz (all should work, but honestly, just grab the 1066MHz one)

Jeremy Fowler43 said:I opened the case, and it clearly states DDR2 inside.

It also lists Model No.: ATX-350PNF
AC INPUT 220-240V, 4A, 50 Hz
DC OUTPUT 350 W

I'm based in Washington, D.C. Will the information I provided above suffice? I attempted to download the application, but I've run into an issue where I can't actually launch the installer. I'm having this same installation trouble on this very machine...

That's just your power supply—look at the actual motherboard instead, like this one here.
Usually, you find the model by looking for a name followed by some string of letters, numbers, and dashes—doesn't always have to be everything—but on this photo, the model is right there at the top center.

This belongs in the right subforum.
I don't know what you're thinking—but you're gonna burn through a massive amount of capital just to get this off the ground. Hopefully there’s some actual data backing this up... unless you've already proven it isn't a total waste of money?

Honestly, you should just check your motherboard first—then you can Google what tech it uses (like which DDR) and the max frequency it can actually handle.
Since you're rocking half a GB, I'm guessing it's DDR2.
If I remember right, the model number should be printed right on the board somewhere.
