I was stuck at a constant 102 degrees and just couldn't break the fever, no matter what I did. Honestly, I felt like absolute death—worse than anything I've ever dealt with in my life. I couldn't even walk two steps without feeling completely wiped out, and the chills were brutal. It sounds like the flu, but it felt way more intense than any typical seasonal bug, if that makes sense... though I didn't actually start shaking 🙂

What kind of search terms should I be using to make sure I actually have kidney issues? To be honest, my doctors haven't exactly gone above and beyond, so I don't trust their diagnosis one bit. That’s why I’m stuck here digging through the internet for hours trying to find some real answers 😢

Is it even possible to have a kidney infection if you aren't feeling any pain in that area?

And can you even get a kidney infection if you’re being super careful—like, I always wear an undershirt, extra layers, thick socks...
A few years back, I had this stabbing pain that lasted maybe five or six days—it was absolutely brutal—but since I wasn't in the States at the time, and once I got back home everything just stopped, I never actually did anything about it.
Anyway, I've been on antibiotics a few times because of E. Coli, but that stuff just kept coming back. Could that be causing all of this?
In the last two months alone, I've had to take antibiotics three times for some seriously nasty sebaceous gland infections.
I honestly can't believe this is happening!
So today, I talked to two different doctors—a GP and a gynecologist—and they both basically told me it was just the flu and that it's too late to bother with antibiotics now. I went ahead and asked for a referral for a urine culture and a sinus scan on my own, since my sinuses are constantly inflamed and I figured maybe that's where the issue is coming from.
Oh, and I did run some other blood work, but the only things that came back elevated were my CRP and white blood cell count.

look, what's your take—do you think urine looking like that is just the fallout from catching two bouts of the flu back-to-back
or was it not even the flu, but just my immune system hitting rock bottom and letting a bunch of bacteria run wild

Crystals (ref 0-6) = 23.10
EPI Squamous Epithelial Cells (ref 0-5) = 33
NIT = positive
Sedimentation (ref 5-28) = 37

What the hell is going on with me??
