As for the water, unless you have a genuine suspicion about its quality, just take a sample to a local lab for testing, but there's really no point in testing yourself unless actual symptoms pop up or some bloodwork flags something significant, like certain bacteria or heavy metals...
But what kind of symptoms are we talking about here? That’s what I’m wondering. What would actually hurt, or what kind of issues should I be looking out for? 🤷
So, I found out today that the tap I drank about half a liter from the night before yesterday is actually hooked up to a private well. The water looked clear—I don't remember exactly, but it wasn't any murkier than water from the Mississippi—and the taste seemed totally fine, though now that I know it probably hasn't been tested or even filtered, I'm starting to overthink things. I tend to be pretty anxious about this kind of stuff, and since nothing happened for two days, I thought I was in the clear, but now I'm feeling a bit nauseous and I can't help but blame that water. I could really use an expert opinion here if anyone has one. (I really need to get past this phobia. 😢 )
