Can anyone who actually knows how to read these results give me some insight?
So, I've been dealing with pain in my knuckles and two tiny Heberden's nodes on my thumb joints.
I went ahead and got a full blood panel done—most things look fine, but a couple of markers are slightly off.
Here’s the breakdown:
- ESR is 12 (normal goes up to 10)
- CRP 2.4 (normal range is 0.0 - 5.0)
- ASTO 122 (normal range is 0.0 - 200.0)
- RF 0.9 (normal range is 0.0 - 40.0)
Urine test:
- A little bit of urate salt, but everything else seems okay
The thing I'm stuck on is the RF... I've seen people online saying it's either positive or negative, but based on my numbers, it looks totally normal to me. I just don't know if that counts as "negative" or what!
My thumb joint has been bothering me for months now, and for the last two months, all my knuckle joints have started acting up too. Since my appointment with the rheumatologist isn't until late January, I'd really appreciate it if anyone who knows their stuff could help me make sense of this. Thanks in advance!
