Hey there!
I just picked up my lab results today and honestly, I’m floored.
My glucose levels look fine, and my cholesterol isn't too bad either, but here's the catch:
HDL cholesterol is 1.12 (normal range 4.4-6.4)
LDL cholesterol is 4 (normal range 4.4-6.4)
Triglycerides are 2.35 (normal range 4.4-6.4)
Can someone please walk me through what this actually means? My CBC and sedimentation rates came back perfectly normal—everything else is right within the standard limits. To be honest, I’ve been eating quite a bit of pork lately, mostly heavier meals, while keeping my sugar intake pretty low, so I was actually hoping these numbers would be higher.
My doctor is pretty young and seems a bit green, so I want to go into our next appointment feeling prepared and knowing exactly what I'm looking at.
Thanks in advance for the help.
