I had some blood work done a few days ago, and my hematology results aren't looking great. My sedimentation rate was high—50 at one hour and 80 at two hours—and my RDW is 15.8. Looking at the differential, my basophils are slightly elevated at 0.02. Everything else in my biochemistry came back normal, except for triglycerides at 3.16 and cholesterol at 9.5. Is any of this cause for concern? Why would the basophils be up, and could they be linked to the sedimentation rate? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thank you!
