My boyfriend needs to get a urine culture and a semen culture done. Some people tell me we can just head to the local Health Department, while others swear you have to go through the CDC. What I really need to know is—is it possible to get these tests done without a referral, and if so, where? Also, does anyone have an idea of what the out-of-pocket cost might look like?
