Living with narcolepsy

My brother was diagnosed with narcolepsy about 11 years ago. They told him he's had it since birth, and now he’s 19. I don't really know where you guys are located or what kind of treatment you're getting, but I can tell you that things are pretty rough here. We're based out of Chicago. He can't even get the right medications because they aren't available for purchase locally, and everyone just says there isn't any specific therapy for it since the condition hasn't been fully researched yet. I guess it's just how it is here. What have your experiences been like?
