I stopped by the local hospital today regarding my nose. About five years ago, I had a septoplasty done by Dr. Bilic, but the results were pretty messy—now my nose sits crookedly to one side. I can’t even breathe through the left nostril because it’s so narrow, which has been such a struggle. Honestly, looking at photos is almost too much to bear 😢, so I find myself only taking pictures of one side of my face just to hide how lopsided everything looks; it’s truly a tragicomedy. Anyway, I’ve scheduled a consultation with Dr. Kalogjera to see about fixing this. Does anyone here have experience working with him, and what can you tell me about his approach? Also, does anyone know what the typical wait time is for surgery at a major metropolitan hospital like this?

I can totally relate to that feeling! About three years ago, I went under the knife to fix a deviated septum with Dr. Bilic, but honestly, the deviation is still there—my nose keeps veering to the left, and now it’s become an absolute Emergency to get it sorted out. I actually saw a specialist who gave me a referral for a rib graft, but then I heard through the grapevine that Bilic is back in practice there, and apparently, there's a Dr. Poje working as well. Has anyone here dealt with doctors who aren't in private practice? I'm really torn on which direction to take.

Yeah, that was actually about three years ago. Honestly, the results weren't great at all, so now I'm looking at getting everything fixed. It’s also proving to be quite a challenge to save up enough cash for the procedure, because from what I can tell, the total cost jumps up significantly if you decide to go with a payment plan...
