Don't let scammers get the better of you.

Jessica Morris6 said:This service is absolute garbage. It’s my first time ever using them, and right out of the gate, it’s a disaster. You fill out all your info in the app, but when you get to the address field, it demands a house number—except my official ID just lists it as "Bldg B." Because of that tiny technicality, they won't let me pick up my cash at a local branch, yet the app won't let me edit the address to fix the mistake...
I tried calling customer service, and since they only speak English, I had to struggle through explaining the whole mess with my thick accent. They actually had the nerve to tell me to send an email requesting an address change and to include some "mtsc" code at the end of the message to "speed things up," even though I don't even have one because I haven't completed a single transaction yet. Then, naturally, I get an email response telling me they aren't even allowed to change addresses...
Give me a break. 🤦

Too much drama. You can just fill out the form with a pen in person.

It’d be smarter to just aim for the Chase ATM withdrawal. But instead of picking it up yourself, you'd hand over the code to the recipient... though I'm not sure how much that code is worth once it's generated, or if they'd have to be standing right in front of the ATM the second it pops up...

The generated code is only good for 30 minutes.
Using the Aircash Chase ATM option compared to Western Union online only makes sense if you're moving up to $200. Here’s why. 🙂
When sending from the US, for amounts up to $100, the fee is $1.90, and for anything over $100, it's a flat $3.90. At least, that’s what the estimate shows on their website and app.
Trying to pay through an agent at a physical location is a total waste because the fees are extortionate.

Example:
If I’m sending $900 from the US to Germany online, I pay $903.90. If I go through an agent, I’m paying $938.00 because the fee for that amount jumps to $38. That is a massive difference.
If I use Aircash to withdraw from a Chase ATM, I’m paying $918.00 (which is 2% of the total).

Bottom line: The Western Union way works fine, but strictly online via their site. Forget about doing it at a physical branch unless you absolutely have no other choice.

With our partial 🙂 we don't deal with those "problems" 🙂

Yeah, I am now, and it actually works. 👍

Yeah, I’m dealing with some technical glitches on the forum. 😳
For the last few days, the site keeps kicking me out and forcing a logout right after I sign in.
I figured out there’s an auto-logout after 15 minutes of inactivity, but here, I'm getting booted back to the login screen after just a few minutes—sometimes even seconds—just from refreshing the page.
It’s honestly frustrating and makes me want to just stay logged out permanently.

Take a look at your disciplinary record on the PDF. Between the Coronavirus situation and people constantly breaking the rules or just being trolls, users end up getting partial bans once they hit a certain threshold of warnings and strikes. That’s just how this forum operates.
Of course, that's just my two cents—I'm not a moderator here. Coronavirus.

It’s pretty obvious you aren't actually following this specific sub, otherwise you'd understand why getting banned here works differently than in other parts of the forum.

I’d say you’re one of the very first victims on this forum to fall for that whole omoronocron variant, being all PCR-positive! 😉

Is censorship really going this far now? They’re even making posts disappear if they don't mention the coronavirus?

How am I supposed to take this? It’s basically a clear signal that my input on this forum isn't welcome. But fine, if that’s how they want to send a message, I'm not sweating it. There's always the logout button—they can go ahead and sing their own praises without me.

I can't access the Coronavirus PDF, and to make matters worse, the forum search is totally broken. Because of that, I have no clue which 40-odd posts just vanished from my profile without any explanation. My signature is gone too, and my avatar disappeared—though honestly, maybe that happened for a reason? Was that the trigger for heavier censorship?

Why were my on-topic posts removed from the thread "Why did you ban the Coronavirus PDF" while all the off-topic bickering and insults were left standing?
Something doesn't add up here logically.

If the assessment is that my posts don't add value to this forum, then I want someone in charge to say it to my face instead of tearing me down from the shadows.

Look, I'll be the first to admit I'm not the smartest guy in the room, and yeah, I definitely talk before I think sometimes, but I really didn't expect this kind of total wipeout.

It’s all laid out on paper, but good luck actually making it work in the real world.

Last resort: move the whole school back to the third grade building. Peace. 🙂

Statistically speaking, about 95% of people are going to pull through this nasty illness just fine, so parents can rest easy knowing their kids will be okay. Ln

vividstag6 said:Well, I am vaccinated. That’s why my symptoms were milder the second time around—at least, that’s my belief. My fear doesn't stem from the virus itself, but from the fact that the first time I caught it, it absolutely tore me apart, and I'm still dealing with neurological fallout. Why should anyone else have to endure what I went through, or even worse, just because someone finds wearing a mask "inconvenient"? It seems people refuse to grasp that this virus can deliver pure hell to others... clearly, personal comfort is the only thing that matters...

So you got hit hard both times?

How many "carefree" tourists did we invite in, only to end up getting comfortable alongside them? We prioritized counting the cash over accounting for potential sick people. It’s a tired old argument.

I’ll bet anything that most of those rebellious teenagers are pretty relaxed about Covid, masks, and social distancing; I suspect they’re being pretty loose with the rules in school, too.
Still, Covid is mostly a disease affecting older people, right? 🥱

Convenience is everywhere. Some people get lucky, some don't—c'est la vie. But if you keep trying to convince me that being a well-trained little puppy is the only way to protect myself and others from suffering, it’s not going to work.

Question: what happens if a specific teacher or professor gets sick? Does that mean they drag both the left and right substitutes from the faculty lounge along with them? 😛

If that actually happens, we’re already short a few professors who need replacing. It's a mess.

How did things play out during the last period?

They’re easing up on the restrictions, yet we’re stuck dealing with a soy movement that seems to be spreading faster than a wildfire in a drought.

Who's actually running this show?
I previously posted my take—that this supposed "relaxation" of rules is just a psychological setup to prime everyone for more vaccinations—but that post was scrubbed. (Call it a conspiracy theory if you want.)

Look, I’m not out here demanding we lock kids up again or strip away their freedom; far from it. Kids are going to get sick every single season regardless. My point is that certain people love playing God a little too much, acting like court jesters while they completely toss basic logic out the window. Personally? I'm not buying what they're selling.
