So, I had my consultation with Dr. Tony today... and honestly, the clinic gets nothing but praise from me. Dr. Tony is such a kind person—he took the time to walk me through every single detail, explaining the "when" and the "why" behind everything. I’m actually going to go to a local clinic rather than one in the big city... he mentioned it’s a routine procedure, and that I shouldn't even deal with major bruising or any significant issues.
I'm totally happy with the plan, though the only catch is that the surgery won't happen until my second month of school because I have to focus on finals and getting through college first... 😢
Regarding age, he did mention they perform these procedures even on kids as young as 13 or 14, but it's definitely best to wait until you're 18 or 19...
Since I'm already 20, my bone structure is fully formed, so I'm all set to move forward with the surgery!

I went in for a follow-up today, and the doctor mentioned that the skin has kind of adhered—like it's stuck directly to the bone. Has anyone else dealt with this?
By the way, I still have some swelling on my upper lip. It's still there... :-(
please, help!
Which surgeon did you see?
So, I've finally made up my mind—I'm going to go see Johnson, Ostojic, Glumicic, and visit the Gulic clinic...
I finally talked my old lady into it, so I'll be giving them a call tomorrow to get everything scheduled..

They all share the same core specialty along with a sub-specialization in head and neck plastic surgery—which, if you ask me, provides that extra layer of confidence that they can handle any nose issue thrown their way. I actually need a revision surgery because my first procedure went pretty poorly, and this time around, I’m going to be incredibly careful about who I choose. Honestly, the aftermath of that first surgery was just awful—something nobody would ever wish on themselves. My plan is to go in for consultations with everyone, and then just see who makes the best impression...
By the way, who did you go to for your first procedure?

Thanks so much—please let me know once you've had your appointment and what your impressions were!

Honestly, I’d be pretty grateful if they could list them too... 🙂
I'm actually thinking about heading over to see Johnson soon, but I really feel like I should visit a few more specialists first—just to get a better sense of things and see for myself where the best option truly lies.
After thinking about it for several years, I’ve finally decided to go through with the surgery... now, of course, the real challenge is finding a surgeon I can actually trust.
Reading through all these posts, you guys have somehow managed to both encourage me and freak me out just a little bit at the same time 🙂
Most of the discussion seems to center around Dr. Johnson, and from what I can tell, the feedback there is mostly positive...
I was wondering if anyone here has had surgery recently with Dr. Glumicic or perhaps any other surgeon working in the Washington, D.C. area?
I know exactly what I want to do—it's just that making this final call on who to trust with everything is proving to be much harder than I expected. :/
