I honestly think the most important thing in this whole process is focusing on the anesthesia—doing all the prep work, the tests, and having actual consultations with the anesthesiologist. You have to lay everything out on the table if you’re dealing with any chronic issues—because that can seriously impact both the surgery itself and how you recover afterward.

Totally agree here. A close friend of mine had a really rough time because she bled quite a bit during the procedure (they actually had to operate on her twice in one day!), whereas my experience was smooth sailing. Of course, it all hinges on how intense the surgery is. As for me, I love my nose now, even though I didn't have massive expectations. People who don't know better don't even notice it—it wasn't even that 🙈 before. So, if you're considering this just for other people, thinking a tiny bump disappearing will change your entire life—maybe sleep on it a hundred times first. 🧐
Honestly, that nose job turned out pretty underwhelming. I mean, you can tell there's still some swelling, but what was even done during the surgery??? It’s not even remotely straight. I just don't get it... 🤷 It’s like the surgeon barely made an incision and just stitched it right back up. Seriously. My results, though? Total jackpot. I really lucked out—can't complain about that! 🙏 🙂

I had no idea foundation could actually do such an incredible job covering up dark circles... honestly, life changer!😲
I don't really have skin issues—nothing major, anyway—so I’ve never been one to go overboard with products. Honestly, I haven't spent this much on skincare in my entire life... and I probably never will again!
Oh, and I finally realized—tapping lightly is way better than smearing everything around!
Look, maybe this is common knowledge for most of you—but I’ve seriously never seen him go this hard before. Just saying! 🤷)

So, when did you actually have the surgery? For me, the bruising cleared up after about a week—and that purple line (you know, the one that looks like someone just swiped a marker across your skin)—was gone pretty quick too! 😂 My eye area still looks a little weird after two weeks—just a bit of lingering redness above the lid. Honestly, my nose feels way more constricted lately, which is super obvious whenever I’m not wearing any makeup. But hey, I have to admit to everyone here... I am absolutely thrilled when I finally manage to pull off a high-quality, perfect contour! 🙂

When you're watching it unfold, you wouldn't even dream of thinking about surgery—it all seems so straightforward.
I'm actually dying to see how this turns out for her!!😂
That doctor seems pretty nice, though.🙂

Exactly! That was my biggest fear at first—watching those surgical shows on TV and thinking about the reality of it. Has she completely lost her mind? 😵
Joshua Scott62 said:Yeah—that’s basically what I was thinking too. A little bit of reduction would be perfect right about now.
I’ve got this bump popping out, probably from taking a couple of hits to the face back in the day... maybe five years ago? My nose used to be totally normal.

Honestly, you don't even need surgery. Men should have masculine noses, not some tiny, dainty thing 😉. Besides, if you actually *wanted* to fix it, you wouldn't be asking us for our take. But seriously—if you're hesitating, just wait and really think it through. If everyone posted their photos here, you'd get 100 different opinions from 100 different people. I went under the knife for myself, and honestly, people who haven't done it just don't get it.
That part really caught me off guard. I almost wanted to shout: Hellooo??? People? You can clearly see the difference in my profile photo. It isn't long anymore and the bump is gone! Plus, it doesn't droop when I laugh 😍
rowdyrider21 said:From what I’ve read, that numbness can linger for up to two months. It was the exact same thing for me at first—whenever someone tried to make me laugh, everything just felt totally dead. It's still like that, though things are definitely improving.
Reactions? Well, for the people who knew I was heading in for surgery, the feedback has been awesome! They love the look—they were just terrified I wouldn't wake up from the general anesthesia. 😁 😵
As for those who didn't know... I've noticed they look at me differently. I think they're just too scared to ask what happened. People say I seem "different," but they can't put their finger on why. Maybe it's the haircut?? 😂 😂 😵 Nope, it's not the hair, but I'm not telling anyone I went under the knife for cosmetic work. I don't really like talking about it too much—not while everything is still so "fresh." 🙂

I'm practically back to my normal routine already, entering my third week post-op 🙂 though I'm still being careful not to overdo it. Honestly, I was getting so bored just lying around all day after the procedure. I even managed to do a full face of makeup for a party! Later, I just slathered some olive oil on the incisions—inside and out—and it works wonders! 👋 It actually looks a little flatter now, so nobody even realizes
Kate Alvarez47 said:Hey girls! =) I’m honestly so happy to hear you're satisfied (well, some of you anyway)... but man, this nose width is killing me. From the side, it looks like a solid 5/5, but when I face the camera straight on? It feels like there are these weird bumps on the sides—plus it’s just too wide, which really bothers me. My mom keeps telling me I’m being crazy and that my nose looks great, blah blah blah (I think she's just being nice xd), but I'm just not feeling it... everything else about me is fine, it's just this stupid nose! It was actually really cute when I was little, but now... goodness 😲
I'm only 17 and I am seriously terrified of surgery because everyone tells me: "Trust me, you don't want to go through this yourself," like it's some kind of divine suffering...😕

Look, a wide nose can actually be narrowed down beautifully. But hey, if it's something you truly want, then go for it—there's no problem there. Even though my experience was pretty much perfect, one of my friends had a nightmare scenario where things got complicated and she ended up needing two surgeries in a single day. We're both totally fine now 🙏.
When I was your age, I was constantly going back and forth on whether to do it or not. And when you hear horror stories or see stuff on TV, it’s enough to make anyone lose sleep. But it weighed on me for so long that after 10 years, I basically made my decision. Honestly, hearing people's experiences on this forum gave me the boost I needed. And yeah—before my surgery, my nose looked pretty rough under bright lights.
rowdyrider21 said:Dr. Ostojić. I’m actually really happy with how it looks already—it's just a little swollen right now and feels kind of weird to the touch, but I know everything should settle down and look even better in about a month. Either way, 👍

My vacation doesn't even wrap up until tomorrow, then it's straight back to work. Honestly, I have no clue how I'm going to try and apply powder when the skin feels so strange 🤷. Apparently, that numb feeling sticks around for a month. The worst part is when someone tries to make me laugh—the whole area around my nose just tightens up like I had a massive dose of Botox injected. But hey, we'll get through it and it'll be worth it! By the way, what are people saying? Friends, coworkers... anything? People are actually telling me I look younger! Then there are those who say absolutely nothing—just a few vague comments and that's it. But I seriously can't believe my mom told me she likes it. That was the biggest shock of all. She wasn't really on board with the idea of surgery, but she still backed me up.
northernowl14 said:I’m dealing with the exact same thing... honestly, I think I’ve finally made up my mind. I know all the risks—like, yeah, there's a chance it might not turn out perfect—but I'm moving forward hoping I won't be one of those "bad results" cases. I'm thinking about booking with Zambelli, but before I head over there, does anyone know what his prices are like? And how long is the waitlist usually? 🤷

Both me and my best friend paid $2,400. You just give them a call to schedule a consultation— $83. Look, the doctor might not be your absolute best friend or anything, but frankly, I didn't care. All that mattered was that he knew exactly what he was doing. He answered every single question I had, too. He even showed me photos of noses similar to mine—though, naturally, mine looked like the worst one in the bunch! 🙄.
In my opinion, the key is not to go in with crazy expectations, but speaking from experience, it’s only been two weeks and I can already see how great it looks. I'm seriously stunned at what he did with my old nose.
Just a heads-up: those first two days are the roughest. I was actually pretty terrified when I saw blood just slowly dripping—I thought something was wrong.
But once you get that cast off and see the result... all those worries just vanish 😲.
And honestly? It doesn't even hurt that much. You just feel like you have a slight fever, maybe around 100 degrees. Just some general weakness. Nothing major. And don't freak out when you look in the mirror at first—I looked like I’d just gone twelve rounds in a boxing ring! But that passes too...
If you have any other questions, just ask! 😉
rowdyrider21 said:I felt like I was reading my own life story in this thread. 🙂 It’s almost the exact same situation. I’m about a month out from my surgery right now. Honestly, it was such a shock to see how many people deal with these same issues—just totally normal, everyday people... and here I was thinking I was the only one going through it. 🙈
By the way, which surgeon did you go with?

I went with Zambelli—or "Zambi," as my best friend and I call him. The guy is a straight-up master at what he does 👍. My mom was absolutely terrified about the whole procedure, and she totally freaked out seeing how swollen I was afterward—but now she's telling me she's actually glad everything went smoothly because my nose looks adorable.
Who was your surgeon? Are you happy with the results?
Alright, here’s my little contribution to this thread.
I had my nose job 12 days ago, and honestly? I'm already loving the results.
They fixed a broken bone, narrowed the nasal passages, lifted my drooping tip, and smoothed out the bump.
The swelling is mostly gone now—just a bit of puffiness right between my eyes.
I spent a long time overthinking this decision. To be honest, what really spooked me were those shows on TV where they show people getting hit with hammers and all that crazy stuff 😲.
Even though I acted tough when some idiots on the street would laugh at me or point and sing songs about Pinocchio... it definitely got under my skin.
And don't even get me started on being compared to Barbra Streisand, only to hear: "Well, you're prettier than her, but you still remind me of her." 😕
I much preferred hearing: "You look like Eva Mendes." 😍
Anyway, everyone’s eyes nearly popped out of their heads when I told them I was actually going through with it.
Then came the endless commentary: "You don't need it," "Your nose is fine," "It fits your face perfectly," or even "There are plenty of people with much worse noses..."
But look—when you truly want something—like fixing something that's been bothering you for years—surgery is a fantastic solution! Of course, you have to save up the cash first.
Just a heads up: those first three days after surgery are the absolute worst, and you'll find yourself complaining a thousand times over.
A close friend of mine had hers done two months ago, so I had someone to grill about every single detail.
I stumbled upon this forum thread over the summer and was shocked to see it wasn't just celebrities, models, or people whose entire career depends on their looks who get these procedures. Seeing regular people talking about it gave me such a boost, and I'm so glad I found this! 🙏
