So, I just got back from my doctor's office, and she suggested I go see this specialist over at Mount Sinai—I can't for the life of me remember his last name, though I know it starts with a K... anyway, does anyone know who I'm talking about? If you've seen him, what was your experience like??🙂
Hey everyone, I'm new here. I really hope I haven't missed the boat on this discussion... I've got a few things on my mind regarding nose surgery...
I'm pretty sure I have a deviated septum, but I haven't actually seen a doctor about it yet. It’s not that the health side of it is killing me—I mean, breathing through one nostril is definitely harder, but nothing life-threatening—it's more about how it looks. Honestly, I had such a cute nose until I turned 14. After that, it just started growing, and then two months later, I woke up with this bump on my nose that looked like a mountain range.
Here's what's actually bugging me: a friend of mine who also deals with a deviated septum told me they can fix both the functional stuff and the aesthetics all at once, and apparently, it's totally free. To be honest, that sounds a little too good to be true to me...
I don't have the cash for an operation, and I'm also wondering if being 18 changes anything in terms of how this all works.
My nose is honestly such a huge source of insecurity for me. If I could just find some kind of solution sooner rather than later, it would seriously be amazing.
