Rhinoplasty: Experiences and recovery tips?
in Health ·
Hey everyone🙂 I wanted to share my story with you all since you seem to have plenty of experience with nose surgery 🙂 I'm 15 right now, turning 16 this May. If I actually have to be 18 to get my nose done, then fine, I'll just wait two more years.
Here’s the deal. Why does any of this matter? Because I need to go into modeling, and I don't mean just some local hobby—this is huge. But my nose is an issue, and it's holding me back from being accepted. 😢 To build a serious career, I have to be perfect. Right now, I'm saving up for a retainer that costs about $650 so I can wear it for a year, since only two of my front teeth are crooked. I should have that money in a few months. After that, the nose surgery becomes the next goal. It sucks that I can't just get it done sooner. Here in Mexico, at the best private clinic, the surgery is $2,200. But a few years ago, a friend of my sister's had it done at a public hospital for about $550, which seems like a smarter move. So, I'm going to try the public route since it's cheaper. I've been wondering... I don't know what they'll think of my nose, but they'll definitely have to break it. It isn't even that crooked; half of it is just skin. It's ridiculous. They'll still have to break it to straighten and shorten it, though, so it'll probably cost a decent amount. How much does that cost at a public hospital in a place like Chicago? And do I need to go see a doctor first to ask if they'll perform the surgery on someone under 18?
I'd appreciate any answers you guys have. Big hello from Mexico, specifically Podgorica.
