Thanks. I didn't realize there were actually that many of them out there, did I? It seems I have only ever caught the two most popular ones.😁

I was wondering if anyone could tell me exactly how many Super Mario movies there are? I've seen this one about the mother, and that other one involving an invasion that's been played on TV so many times. If you happen to know if there are any others out there, would you mind sharing them here?

If you're getting a certain speed from your ISP, isn't it perfectly normal for the connection to slow down occasionally?

I'm aware, I was just making an observation...

A leecher is someone who is currently in the process of downloading the content. They can actually seed the parts they've already finished, though usually at a much slower pace.

Having a lot of leechers doesn't necessarily ruin your speeds, but it becomes a real problem if nobody is seeding anything—or if they're all just grabbing data ten times faster than they're giving it back. I’ve actually had experiences where I was trying to grab files while the seeder count stayed at zero the entire time. Luckily, people were still contributing small bits here and there, so everyone eventually managed to piece together what they were missing. Isn't that really the whole idea behind how torrenting works? It wasn't exactly lightning fast, but isn't it better to pull a file at 20 kB per second rather than struggling at 2 kB? 😉

I was just pulling a movie—one of the newest releases—at about 180 kb/sec, but man, it absolutely tanks my entire internet connection the moment I start.

But wouldn't a high number of seeders combined with a bunch of leechers actually have a negative impact on things?

If there are more leechers than anything else, then yeah, it will.😁
It isn't always a guarantee that you'll get fast speeds either; for instance, if you have 20 seeders and 5 leechers, those 20 people might all have their upload speeds capped at a tiny 5 kb/sec.

By the way, you're acting more like a leech than a seeder.
A leech is basically a parasite😁 that just sucks everything up without giving back.
