Rhinoplasty: Experiences and recovery tips?
in Health ·
Hey everyone, I’ve spent countless hours lately scrolling through this forum, soaking up all your thoughts and experiences... so I figured it was finally time to jump in and share my own story. 🙂 I had my surgery last Thursday—a combination of cosmetic work and a septoplasty to fix my deviated septum!
I arrived at the doctor's office early that morning, the procedure kicked off around 2 PM, and by 6 PM, I was already tucked into my own bed at home. I ended up sleeping through half of the following day, which I assume was just the lingering effects of the general anesthesia, but aside from that, I didn't experience any real pain. When they finally removed the nasal packing, I realized it wasn't nearly as terrifying as some people make it out to be on here; it’s definitely uncomfortable, but it passes quickly, and honestly, being able to breathe clearly through my nose again after four days makes the whole thing totally worth it. 🙂 Yesterday, I also had the cast removed, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results—not a single bruise or discoloration to speak of! The doctor and his entire team, from the nurses to the anesthesiologist, were incredibly kind; I truly have nothing but wonderful things to say about everyone involved. They mentioned that the nose might still look a bit swollen and needs to "settle" a little since it feels a bit stiff right now, but even as it stands, I couldn't be happier. 😉 Dr. Kincl and Barbel 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
