I've been lurking on this forum for about a year and a half now, and honestly, I've come to one conclusion... you just pick a surgeon who gives you a good vibe, book the appointment, and pray to God everything goes smoothly. For every single doctor I look up, I find two girls who are absolutely thrilled and two others who they completely ruined... I guess it's just a roll of the dice at this point, unfortunately. I'm planning to go under the knife this winter... and the more I read, the more lost I feel. 😢 I’ll start touring offices and doing consultations soon to figure things out... like I mentioned before, I really want to straighten my profile and fix the tip. If anyone here has seen a surgeon who nailed the tip work, please post pictures or shoot me a DM

I remember feeling the coldness in my arm, counting backward from ten: "ten, niiiine..." and then I blacked out. I woke up with nasal packing in, sitting in a hospital room... That was my life for the next five days. (No pain, though.) On the fifth day, a different doctor pulled the packing out and cleared me to go home.... finally🙂! I get home, look in the mirror, and the nose is still crooked 😕 I just couldn't wrap my head around it. I had a follow-up a couple of weeks later and asked him why it was still crooked, and he just curtly told me that I hadn't wanted aesthetic work. I assumed that fixing the deviation would automatically straighten the shape, but clearly, that's not how it works. Long story short... I still have trouble breathing, and my nose looks more crooked by the day... honestly, I have no idea what they even did to me 🤷
Make sure you talk to your doctor about absolutely everything before the surgery! As for me, I know for next time... until I know every single tiny detail about the procedure, nobody is putting me under 🧐
Don't get mad, but the doctor isn't at fault here at all! He asked you nicely if you wanted the shape fixed and you said no! He's not a mind reader who can guess you secretly wanted an aesthetic correction...
Man, when it comes to stuff like this, think long and hard about what you actually want and explain it clearly...

I’ve been reading through this thread and I’ve already decided to go through with the surgery. I haven't picked a surgeon yet, though, so I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share some before and after photos along with the doctor you used? It would mean the world to me 🙂 For me, the tip shape is the most important part since that's really why I'm doing this... does anyone have experience with that? Most people just seem to focus on breaking bones...
