Nowadays, a 22" monitor is pretty much the baseline, though you can grab 23" or 24" models if you're looking for something slightly larger. Yeah, well, standards change. When I picked up my Samsung 20 about three and a half years ago, that was way beyond what anyone called "standard," but technology moves fast, man. Look, you can't go wrong with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260. Regarding the PSU—my main priority is just making sure everything runs smooth without any hiccups. Will the Corsair CX400 actually hold up? I've got two 500 GB hard drives running in there too!

Generally speaking, the 4890 outperforms the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260—it’s actually sitting right up there with the GTX 275. Honestly, pushing a 4890 past 1 GHz isn't even an issue if you do it manually at home, so why bother paying a premium for a factory overclock? Plus, the Vapor-X comes with a stellar cooler—way better than the stock one found on the more expensive 4890 models. It’ll handle things just fine, even if you decide to go the voltmod route to hit that 1GHz+ core clock.

So, the setup would be a Quad-core Intel i5
with 4 GB of Corsair 1333MHz RAM
running on a Gigabyte P55 UD3 motherboard
I'm not entirely certain about the PSU, but I think a
550W Corsair modular unit should cut it.
Resolution is 1680x1050, using a 20-inch Samsung monitor.
