Well, the mystery has finally been solved. It turns out I don't actually have them (oops!)—but apparently, that’s perfectly fine. 🙂
So, nothing much to worry about; I've got a few days to get organized, get my gear ready, and just take care of business. ☕
I will definitely get back to you once I have more details—I haven’t been able to find any information yet regarding whether anyone has actually undergone nose surgery with this doctor. 😉
So—rustygardener172, it isn't the pain itself that has me worried, but rather the entire situation as a whole. 😂
And I am also looking over my blood work—well, at least I’ve gone ahead and had those tests done—and it shows I have some anti-erythrocyte antibodies. What on earth does that even mean??? It was just listed there as a side note. 🤷
As for the breathing issue, I mostly breathe through my mouth anyway instead of my nose, so I suppose I can manage that part too. 😁

I've been spending quite a bit of time lately reading through all your shared experiences—mostly trying to keep my cool—but honestly, the closer we get to the actual date, the more the anxiety starts to creep in. I'm scheduled to have surgery to correct a deviated septum at Mercy Hospital, under the care of Dr. Bačić. From what I understand, they aren't going to touch anything else; the goal is strictly to straighten that septum so I can finally breathe normally.
So—does anyone here happen to have any firsthand experience with him or the hospital?
Based on everything I’ve gathered so far, I’m planning to pack some chocolate milk powder and those little Monte chocolate treats to help me recover—and I'm trying my best not to freak out when the bleeding starts... does anyone have any other advice for me?
