Allergies to cat and dog hair

My hands and feet are just itching incessantly
it’s actually making me feel physically ill and my eyes won't stop watering
I'm guessing it might be an allergy
but I honestly have no clue what's causing it?!
The thing is, I brought home a dog about ten days ago
I really hope that isn't the culprit
because I've grown so attached to him and the last thing I want is to have to give him away...
but I'm just stuck here wondering?!
p.s.
I totally forgot to mention that my face feels incredibly dry and looks bright red, too
my skin is peeling everywhere (though, mind you, I already deal with dermatitis)
