Period talk: Questions and advice
in Women's Health ·
Hey everyone (ignore my username :P)
I’m dealing with some major issues regarding my period—or rather, the lack thereof. Ever since I had my baby, everything has been completely out of whack. It shows up once, then disappears for two months, and it just keeps going like this. I went to see a doctor and they put me on Duphaston. While I was taking them, everything felt fine. But after three cycles, the doc told me to stop taking them to see if things would normalize on their own. Well, "normal" is nowhere in sight. My last one was back in January/February, and I’m still sitting here waiting. I keep telling myself it’ll happen tomorrow, but I’ve basically given up hope. I’m just waiting for my next chance to get back to the clinic.
Has anyone else dealt with something similar?
Am I stuck taking these pills forever now?
Is it possible that my system is just totally messed up? Honestly, I'm scared because I really want to get pregnant again. Every time I go in, the doctor just runs an ultrasound, tells me I'm not pregnant, hands me another prescription, and sends me on my way. I really want to run more tests to actually find the root cause. Should I be the one to push for more testing?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long rant. Btw, I'm 22
