Period talk: Questions and advice
in Women's Health ·
Hey, I have a quick question for you all.
My periods are incredibly irregular—my cycles swing anywhere from 35 to 50 days depending on the month. It’s honestly starting to get to me. It’s so frustrating because every thirty days or so, I get that unmistakable feeling that it's finally coming; I get these sharp pains in my ovaries and my lower back, and my whole body just aches. I feel like everything is primed and ready to go, but then... nothing. I’ll head to the restroom expecting relief, but there's nothing there. Sometimes this limbo lasts for up to two weeks—I end up burning through more pads just waiting for the actual flow to start. It feels like my entire body is rolling out the red carpet for the queen, but she just refuses to show up. Does anyone else deal with this kind of thing?
