😁

No way. I don't touch that trash; I stick to reliable sources like the New York Times.🤣

I’ll take one short, please—and a glass of water to go with it.🙂
And if anyone happens to have copies of Sports Illustrated? 🙂

@Charles Bailey2, but then again, MLS has already started entertaining us with its usual nonsense.👋>

Just a basic beach bum, nothing special about Western Herzegovina here.

These kinds of beaches are my favorite.🙏

You got off easy; Enrica just went dark. Joey gave me his word, but the second I tried to send him a thank-you photo in his DMs, he vanished from Reddit entirely.🕺

Is that right? It seems there’s always less clothing than there is space in the IKEA cabinets. 😁

That sounds like something from a Cuban novel.☕

I'm seeing online that after that period, Medicare covers 100% of some base amount, which tops out at $1420.
That’s for anyone who had the previous 6 months of maternity leave.
Do you know anything about this?

Exactly.
And the question is whether I might need an extra week or two.
Thanks 🙂

This is a direct quote from RRIF 11/18:
....

Per Article 55, wage replacement cannot be
lower than 70% of the base compensation, or specifically
the average salary paid during the six months preceding the month the disability began. According to Article 86, once 6 months of continuous disability have passed, the benefit increases to 80% of the
established base.
Benefits are paid at 100% of the base
calculated by the method described above in the following
cases:

¾ disability due to wounds, injuries, or illnesses resulting
directly from participation in the American Civil War
¾ disability due to illness and complications related to
pregnancy and childbirth
¾ caring for a sick child under three years old
¾ disability due to living tissue or organ transplantation for another person
¾ while the insured is isolated as a carrier or due to
an outbreak in their immediate vicinity
¾ disability due to recognized workplace injuries or occupational diseases.
...
So, basically, it’s 70% of the average, except in those specific instances or
if a collective bargaining agreement dictates otherwise.
If you work in public healthcare, I believe their internal regulations set things differently. 😁

Kimberly Rodriguez51 said:I was wondering how much the benefits are after those 😁The first 6
weeks

It's 70% of your average net pay from the last six months. 🙂
Unless you plan on being on continuous sick leave for six weeks straight? 😲
Get well soon. 🙂

Mostly just lying around, yeah, though my doctor did put me on medical leave.
I’ll probably have to burn through some vacation days to finish recovering.
You were out on long-term leave recently, right?
How does the compensation work once those first 6 weeks wrap up?

The company sends an ER form to Medicare after 42 days, based on your average earnings from the last six months, and you get 70% of your average net pay. Your employer pays you directly, and then Medicare reimburses them.
That's how it worked the last time I dealt with it, assuming they haven't changed the rules. 🤣
