Autumn Leaves is finally here!!!

If I may just step in and offer a little correction here...
So, regarding the idea that "Autumn is coming, my dear" is a Balser song...
The phrase "Autumn is coming, my dear" actually refers to something else entirely...
From what I recall—and please correct me if I'm wrong—Balser actually sings:
"Play me 'Autumn is coming, my dear, early autumn'..." which is a completely different track! It has absolutely nothing to do with that specific version performed by Bell and Oliver..
Actually, I'm not entirely certain... but then again, why would anyone bother adding those extra words "early autumn" if they weren't referring to that specific song? So, yeah—I think we might all be a bit mistaken here.
While this particular piece isn't a romance—whereas the version of "Autumn is coming, my dear" that Bell sings definitely is—this one is more of a folk ballad from the Midwest, if I'm remembering correctly.
