I’ve actually had that exact same thing happen to me a few times during those months when I wasn't even ovulating... my OB-GYN explained it to me just like that, too... but honestly, you should probably check in with yours just to be safe...
Hey everyone, just wanted to run this by you all while I wait for my appointment with my OB-GYN to see if anyone has any insight. 😁
LMP was March 29th. I went in for an exam on April 3rd and here’s what the report said: my endometrium is trilaminar, measuring 0.9 cm. Both ovaries look normal in size. However, the right ovary shows more than 12 small follicles lined up (PCO), and on the left ovary, there's a dominant follicle measuring 1.6x1.8 cm.
Fast forward to today, April 14th—I had some brown discharge, which then turned into actual bleeding on April 15th. It's bright red blood, nothing crazy, no big clots, just some tiny little bits. My stomach is cramping a bit, though not quite as intense as my usual period cramps. This bleeding has been going on for three days now, plus the few days of that brown discharge before it. Is it possible this is just my period starting early, or could it be something else? At first, I thought maybe it was ovulation spotting, but I don't think that's it... :/
Oh, one more thing—I've actually overhauled my diet over the last two weeks (cut out sugar, white flour, etc.) and started working out. Could that change things?
Does anyone know where I can find a price list for exams at a major hospital like Johns Hopkins?
I really need to figure out what hormone testing costs. I don't have supplemental insurance right now, and since I've been unemployed since November, paying for extra coverage just isn't in the budget—not that there's any way to bridge the gap without it... thanks in advance...
