Groin pain

Now, I’m wondering—could that pain have been caused by that sudden burst of movement or is it something else? It’s still stinging a little whenever I run or stand up quickly!?
Honestly, it doesn't sound too serious—it sounds like you just overstretched some soft tissue. I'd suggest massaging the area with an anti-inflammatory cream, or maybe just applying a cold compress and doing some very gentle stretching. After a couple of days, you might want to track down a physical therapist—they can pinpoint exactly what happened and give you a proper stretching routine to follow. Good luck!
