Groin pain

So, I’ve been dealing with this nagging groin pain for a while now—specifically right around the testicular area. At first, I was convinced it was an issue with the testicles themselves, but my doctor actually told me it’s just some inflamed muscle. He prescribed some Voltaren to take orally and suggested using the topical gel as well. That part seemed to clear things up for a bit, but then this new pain started popping up just above my glutes, and it feels like it’s radiating right back up to that same spot in the groin. I'm guessing it might be from hitting the gym a bit too hard lately, but I don't know. Has anyone else ever dealt with something similar?
