Who actually brought up September 11th?
Well, nobody said it outright, I guess.
But maybe I really am just "clueless as they come," because I honestly don't get why people were laughing so hard in those early threads—acting like it was some big joke that ABC would air Fahrenheit 9/11 right on the anniversary of September 11th...
What exactly was the punchline there?
Come on, someone please explain it to me, since you all are clearly the brightest minds of our generation.

Oh, please, give me a break...
I honestly can’t wrap my head around how many of you fell for that whole "stupid coincidence" theory regarding Fahrenheit 9/11 airing on September 11th.
It’s pretty obvious you aren't actually paying attention.
I mean, the attacks on the Twin Towers happened on September 11th, obviously, and 9/11 doesn't refer to November 9th—it's just how Americans write dates, putting the month first, so it's September The eleventh.
So cut the crap.
The issue isn't even about whether you understand our dating conventions (though that's a bit embarrassing), it's more about the fact that you don't seem to realize when one of the most significant events in history actually took place...
Honestly, props to ABC for airing the documentary. They aired it on the exact right date.
