I’ve always felt that stress and sudden shock can impact just about everything in our bodies, including our menstrual cycles. I can't recall exactly where I read it, but I remember coming across information suggesting that any significant physiological shift—whether you're gaining weight or losing it—can trigger these kinds of changes. It all comes down to how the body reacts to instability. Please forgive me if my reasoning is off!
I honestly can't say for certain how much of that depends on breastfeeding, since my little one is still nursing.
I thought I’d chime in and share what I’ve been dealing with lately. For quite some time, my cycle was incredibly unpredictable—I’d have two periods in a single month and then go several weeks without one at all. At one point, I was even prescribed birth control to help get things under control. Eventually, I managed to get pregnant, and after having the baby, everything seemed to settle down once my period finally returned seven months later. However, I’m currently facing a bit of a situation: my period has now lasted for twelve days straight. It was particularly heavy during the first and second days, but it has since leveled out to a more standard flow. Has anyone else here experienced something similar?🤷
