Period talk: Questions and advice

I had a quick question for you all... my period usually lasts about seven days, and for those final two days, it’s never actually heavy bleeding anymore, just sort of this brownish discharge... I was reading online that it might just be old blood leaving the system, so now I can't help but wonder if anyone else experiences the exact same thing?
