Naturally, my favorite was always the one nobody else could stand—everyone else was obsessed with Chris, but I found myself drawn to Dr. Fleischman. Ricast, a Jew from New York City; honestly, what’s not to love? 😁
I suppose Ed Chigliac had his charms, though he reminded me far too much of myself: that unproven filmmaker, hopelessly devoted to the seventh art, yet constantly battling a bout of low self-esteem. He even had a demon by that very name. Haha. 😉 That said, the most legendary figure in the entire series remains Adam the cook. A total icon.
I was talking to a friend of mine—arguably the most dedicated Cate Blanchett devotee in the country—and she was adamant that this movie is an absolute disaster. She claims the script is a complete train wreck and that it’s painfully boring. Honestly, I’m on the fence about whether to give it a shot, especially since I actually enjoyed the first installment, even if its historical accuracy was pretty much non-existent.
