1.
You've rattled off a mountain of nonsense—starting with the claim that New York City FC is in a slump. Based on what? One loss? Did you even watch the last match? Honestly, they should have put five past Dinamo Chicago (there was Ibrahimovic's one-on-one, another one-on-one from Ibrahimovic with a lob, Pastore's chance, etc.), while Dinamo Chicago had exactly one (emphasis mine) serious chance from a set piece.
Dinamo Chicago isn't going to push forward at all during the first 30 minutes... they'll just sit back and defend, making it a matter of when they concede and how much New York City FC decides to press. I suspect they realized—and based on Carlo Ancelotti's comments, they know—that they are facing the easiest opponent they've ever seen, so they'll want to pad the goal difference since it's going to be tight.
New York City FC has been struggling lately, and not just because of that loss (Stade de Reims shouldn't be underestimated regardless). They played poorly against Dinamo Chicago too, though even then it was more than enough for them simply because they are vastly superior—not to mention Dinamo Chicago's catastrophic tactics (and frankly, terrible play). Besides, New York City FC played quite badly in their previous league match, barely scraping a win against Stade de Reims. And let's not forget the loss to FC Porto, who aren't playing particularly well this season either...
I wouldn't touch the 0:2 handicap here; they aren't the type of squad to go out and bury an opponent—we saw that clearly in Chicago. Personally, my preferred bet is under 3 goals at 1.55...
Robert Wright4 said:Hacken vs. AIK — both teams to score and Over 2.5 goals @ 2.10
The MLS season is reaching its climax—we're looking at Round 29 matches today, and the race at the top is incredibly tight. LAFC and Inter Miami are neck-and-neck at 55 points, with Hacken trailing closely at 53, followed by AIK with 51. Essentially, this is a battle for 3rd place—which secures a spot in the CONCACAF Champions Cup. If Hacken pulls off a win, they keep their slim mathematical hopes for the title alive... whereas an AIK loss effectively ends their chase for that 3rd seed.
Hacken is easily the most explosive offense in the league—they've netted 64 goals already, two-thirds of which came at home. They average about three goals per game on their own turf, and they've only managed to keep a clean sheet in three home matches all season. AIK, conversely, isn't exactly high-scoring... though alongside LAFC, they possess one of the stingiest defenses in the league—though in this context, that just means they concede roughly one goal per match. 😁 They are also arguably the best road team in the league.
In the final stretch, Hacken travels to face a struggling Seattle Sounders side, while AIK hosts Inter Miami. To secure that 3rd place, AIK simply has to go for the win today... so I’m anticipating an open match with goals on both sides.
During the first half of the season, AIK secured a 3-1 victory at home. Last year, both teams were successful on their own grounds—AIK won 2-1, while Hacken took it 3-1.
Inter Miami vs. Columbus Crew — Home Win (1) @ 1.45
Speaking of the league leaders, here is another pick. As I mentioned, Inter Miami is locked in a title fight with LAFC, while Columbus Crew has essentially checked out—they know they'll be playing in the second division next season. There's no room for gamesmanship here. Inter Miami needs these three points, and I expect them to come out aggressive from the opening whistle. LAFC has already started their business; they're leading 2-1 against Nashville halfway through. Even if LAFC stumbles, Inter Miami must deliver, because they have a brutal away trip to AIK in the final round, while LAFC gets a much easier home fixture against an unmotivated Austin FC.
Both teams to score and Over 2.5 goals🙂
The defense wouldn't let Hacken find that extra goal, and Inter Miami has practically surrendered their title chase...
Carol Moore5, wouldn't it be more logical to take the Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 option for Bolton and Cardiff at 1.95? It feels more likely we see a 2-1 result for one side or the other than a 3-0 shutout... 🤷 Bolton only failed to score against Derby (2-0), and only Crystal Palace held them scoreless at home. Similar story with Cardiff—only Brighton kept them quiet (0-0), and aside from that, they only lost to Millwall (0-2) on the road. Everything else has been BTTS and Over 2.5, including cup and friendly matches...
I might even consider the same play for the Dutch league at 2.10, although there is always the risk that PSV just runs riot with a 4-5-0 scoreline...
Hacken - AIK — both sides to score and over 2.5 goals... 2.10
The Swedish league is reaching its endgame—Round 29 is underway today, and the top of the table is anyone's guess right now. Elfsborg and Malmo are currently neck-and-neck at the summit with 55 points each... meanwhile, Hacken is breathing down their necks in third with 53, followed closely by AIK at 51. This essentially makes today's match a high-stakes battle for third place—the final ticket into the UEFA Europa League. If Hacken pulls off a win, they technically keep their slim title hopes alive... but an AIK loss would effectively end their fight for that third spot entirely.
Hacken is easily the most clinical side in the league—they’ve already racked up 64 goals, with two-thirds of those coming on home turf. They're averaging a massive three goals per game at home... though they've only managed to keep a clean sheet in just three of those home fixtures. AIK, on the other hand, falls into that less efficient category—alongside Elfsborg, they boast the best defense in the league, though in Sweden, that really just means they’re conceding about one goal per match... 😁 Besides, they really are the best guest in the league...
In the final round, Hacken travels to face a struggling Sundsvall, while AIK hosts Malmo. If they want that third-place spot—specifically looking at AIK here—they simply have to win today. Because of that pressure, I’m expecting an open match... likely with goals on both sides.
In the first leg of the season, AIK secured a 3-1 win on their home turf. Looking back at last season, both sides managed to defend their own grass—AIK took it 2-1, while Hacken walked away with a 3-1 victory...
Malmo vs. Orebro — Home win at 1.45...
Since we're already discussing the Swedish league, here’s another pair... As I mentioned before, Malmo is currently locked in a battle with Elfsborg for the top spot—while Orebro has known for quite some time that they'll be playing in the second division next season... There is simply no room for tactical calculations here. Malmo absolutely has to win today—I expect them to come out aggressive from the very first minute. Elfsborg has already kicked off their match and they’re leading 2-1 at halftime against Mjallby on the road. Even if Elfsborg doesn't pull it off, Malmo's situation is critical... they have a brutal away game against AIK waiting for them in the final round, whereas Elfsborg should face a much easier task at home against an unmotivated Aatvidaberg.
Robert Wright4 said:Bristol vs. Burnley — Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 goals at 1.95
We are looking at a matchup between the two most efficient offenses in the Championship so far this season. Bristol has a goal difference of 20:22 through 11 rounds—that’s 3.8 per match—and in their 5 home games, they've seen 14:12, averaging 5.2 per game. Burton sits at 22:22 over 11 rounds... exactly 4 per match, which matches their away form of 8:12 across 5 trips.
Out of 6 home matches this year (league and cup combined), Bristol has only failed to hit "BTTS and Over 2.5" once—a 1:1 draw against Millwall. Burnley has played 8 away matches in league and cup play, and similarly, they've only missed that "BTTS and Over 2.5" mark once—a 2:0 loss to Huddersfield.
All things considered, it's clear these are two teams whose priority isn't sitting back to protect a clean sheet, but rather pushing to score... so I expect another high-scoring affair today, with both sides finding the net quite easily.
Portland Timbers vs. Burnley FC — BTTS & Over 2.5 @ 1.95
We’re looking at a matchup between the two most prolific offenses in the USL Championship this season... quite a statistical anomaly. The Portland Timbers are sitting on a goal difference of 20:22 through 11 rounds—that’s an average of 3.8 per match. Looking closer at their five home games, they've seen 14:12, averaging 5.2 goals per game. Burnley FC has posted 22:22 over 11 rounds... exactly 4.0 per game, which holds steady even in their five away fixtures (8:12).
Out of six home matches this year (league and cup combined), Portland has hit the "both teams to score and over 2.5" mark in all but one instance—they drew 1:1 against Millwall FC. Burnley FC has played eight away matches across league and cup play, and similarly, they’ve cleared the BTTS and Over 2.5 threshold in seven of them... their lone outlier was a 2:0 loss to Huddersfield.
Ultimately, it is clear these two sides aren't playing a defensive shell game... their priority is scoring. I am expecting plenty of action today—goals on both sides, almost certainly.
Queens Park Rangers vs Everton - Over 2.5 goals @ 2.10
The home side spent a massive amount of money last season and this one—stacking up some heavy hitters on paper. Last year they brought in Cisse, Zamora, Onuoha, Wright-Phillips, Traore, Diakite... and this year they’ve added Park, Granero, Bosingwa, Hoilett, Fabio, Julio Cesar, Mbia... Honestly, looking at those names, it's a squad built for the top half of the Premier League. But clearly, big names don't guarantee results—they've managed only 2 points through 7 matches. In their three home games, the only time they actually found the net was against West Ham a couple weeks ago. Still, they did manage to score twice against Reading in the League Cup a few days prior (though they conceded 3), and they lost a 3-2 thriller away at WBA last week. So, the goals are coming, at least lately. Both goalkeepers have been absolute disasters. Green let in 9 goals over 3 appearances, and since Julio Cesar took over, they've surrendered exactly 10 in his last 4 matches...
They face an excellent Everton side today. Everton has only failed to score in a single match this season, and usually, they aren't finished until they've put at least two past the opposition. They also tend to concede—they've only kept a clean sheet against Swansea and during that away trip to Manchester United.
All things considered, I’m expecting plenty of goals here. QPR is waking up offensively, but they're conceding even more frequently... so I don't doubt Jelavic and the crew can find a goal or two against this shaky home defense.
Hey, Carol Moore5, a quick word on these Brazilian clubs. I've been looking at a few Nautico - Portuguesa matchups, and there's a decent 1.75 line on Nautico.
From what I can gather, they seem to be the ultimate home-field advantage team in the league—they’ve pulled in 35 of their 40 total points right in front of their own fans (11-2-2). On the flip side, Portuguesa has been struggling on the road with a 2-5-8 record, making them one of the worst traveling teams out there.
Is there a hidden trap here, or does this look like a solid play for some cash?
Lisa Ramos59 said:Just one quick question for my colleague Carol Moore5... I noticed you follow the Brazilian leagues quite closely—whether by design or just habit, I can't say, but it's impressive. I followed those picks of yours and managed to pull in some decent pocket change on the live bets last night. 🙂 Now, looking at tonight's slate, there's a match where São Paulo takes on Atlético GO. I've been digging through some analysis sites and the consensus seems to be a strong home win. São Paulo has been solid lately—five wins and two draws in their last seven, if I recall correctly—while the visitors are sitting dead last. Some bookies have the odds for a São Paulo win at a respectable 1.40... so, if you have any insight on this one, I'd appreciate it.🙂
I'm not Carol Moore5, but the math here is pretty straightforward—São Paulo is fighting for that fourth spot to secure a continental qualification berth. They're neck-and-neck with Vasco, and in a race like that, you simply cannot afford a slip-up against a bottom-feeder like Atlético GO. Expecting a handicap victory here...
Ethan Jones5 said:I’ve been looking back through your recent posts—and honestly, you seem to be leaning way too hard into the over betting on these Chilean matches. Most of your analyses end up with both teams scoring... maybe it's just a coincidence, but out of about ten picks, I can only think of one that actually hit. It might be better to stop forcing those high-scoring totals if they aren't panning out...🤷
I placed my bets on those specific outcomes yesterday—the lottery odds were sitting at 1.8, which actually puts them higher than the over/under lines at State Farm Arena...

Eleven-year-old Goran, who has been blind since birth, is currently raising funds to travel to China for medical treatment—treatment that could potentially restore his sight.
His diagnosis is Septo-optical Dysplasia (de Morsier syndrome)—essentially an underdeveloped optic nerve. He’s already seen quite a few specialists, spanning from top clinics in Germany to researchers in Russia... all without success. Finally, his parents heard about a girl from Ireland who shared his exact condition and was successfully treated using stem cell therapy at a specialized hospital in China. Naturally, they decided to reach out to the Chinese clinic to see if there was any hope. After sending over all of Goran's medical records, the response was incredible—the doctors confirmed there is a legitimate possibility that Goran could be cured.
Of course, we hit a bit of a snag—money. Obviously, Blue Cross Blue Shield isn't going to pick up this tab; Goran’s parents have to raise every cent themselves. The therapy itself involves six injections administered every five days, costing roughly $26,500. On top of that, there are flights to eastern China, plus a month's worth of living expenses for Goran, his mother, and his English professor, who is traveling along to serve as their translator. Right now, his entire small town—I forgot to mention he's from a rural community in the Midwest—is working hard to pull together as much as possible. I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe, some people in this group might feel moved to contribute a little something toward the cause...
We should have a definitive start date for the treatment very soon—likely late July or sometime in August.
On a side note, Goran just finished third grade and is a stellar student... he's also wrapping up his first year of music school, where he's learning the piano.
Donations can be sent directly to the account held at Chase Bank, account number 2484008 - 3111337271. Since Goran is still a minor, the account is managed by his mother, Katarina.
