He also mentioned his anesthesiologist is a total pro and provides perfect sedation without any of those nasty side effects like nausea or dizziness. And honestly? It’s true. I’ve had leg surgery three different times after being in a car accident, and every single time I woke up, it was a total nightmare. But this time? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I was actually chatting away with my sister about how amazing the whole experience was.

Everything should fall into place within a month or two, so don't stress out—if you're still worried, just go see your doctor. I used Geokorton ointment applied with Q-tips, and I made sure to keep everything clean. They told me strictly not to blow my nose for at least a month and a half, and to avoid wearing glasses as much as possible.

My advice to anyone thinking about getting a rhinoplasty is to do your homework—really dig into the doctors' credentials and obsess over their before-and-after photos. Whatever you do, do NOT get it done at a big hospital; I know two acquaintances who ended up with noses that look worse now than they did before. In my opinion, it’s a "you get what you pay for" situation, and a private practice will always go the extra mile for you. Hey everyone, I'm still alive! Getting the tampon removed actually went way smoother than I expected. Thank God my sister was quick about it, so the whole thing only lasted a few seconds. I felt totally fine until yesterday afternoon, and then suddenly my nose started stinging and throbbing like crazy. I guess it was just all those painkillers finally wearing off, so I could barely make it through the night before they could get it out.
On Monday, they’re taking the mold out and I’ll feel like a whole new person. I've still got some bruising under my eyes, but they told me that usually lasts about three days after surgery before it starts fading. For the record, the procedure cost me about $1,950 and I had to wait a month for the appointment.

It's day two now, and I've got some bruising and swelling under my eyes, but nothing crazy. The only annoying part is having to breathe through my mouth, so I am seriously counting down the hours until they take the tampons out tomorrow.
