Of course, not to us personally, but to the other people who are interested in those movies or songs just as much as you are. Your behavior also dictates the next term you'll run into here: RATIO. Now, what on earth is that? RATIO is simply the relationship between what was TAKEN and what was GIVEN... DOWNLOAD versus UPLOAD... LEECH versus SEED!!! As long as you maintain a 1:1 ratio, you will NEVER have any issues... you won't even need to worry about what a WARN or, heaven forbid, a BAN is.

Anyway, I'm a bit of a newcomer to the whole torrent scene, so I was wondering how exactly I'm supposed to share the stuff I download... Does that mean I just leave the program running after the file finishes, or...? I'm a little confused...
Also, how can I make sure my ratio stays healthy, and where am I supposed to check it?

HAHA. lol, these rules and "contracts" are legendary! First off, tell us, which client are you using?

As for continuing to seed... once you've finished grabbing an album or a song, you'll notice the file moves within the program... just don't stop the upload... or kill the program entirely! Just let it sit in your system tray.

Oh, and by the way... for torrents, I'd suggest checking out http://www.thepiratebay.org and for software, try uTorrent!

As far as the Ratio goes, there's really nothing to worry about as long as you stick to the rules you just laid out for yourself!
