HELP!!! Urgent! in Health ·
I’m just stating what I believe to be true: abortion is a cruel act that leaves a mother with heavy consequences, especially since ending a life that has already begun feels fundamentally unnatural. Or do you really think a one-month-old embryo isn't alive? If it is alive, then abortion is murder; if it isn't, then when exactly does it become alive?

😉

To me, it seems even worse to end a pregnancy that has already begun. That life has a right to exist simply because it was conceived; it wasn't an accident, and it can be such a huge source of joy and support for a mother, whereas losing a pregnancy is definitely going to be a trauma.

A gynecologist will likely accept your decision without much fuss and just send you in for a "routine" procedure, leaving you to deal with the aftermath on your own. I guess maybe you don't see any other way out right now, but in the long run, an abortion might be harder to live with. I say this because my family has dealt with miscarriages across several generations, and I've seen how deeply those experiences can affect people.

To ensure there isn't any risk of infection, everything has to be removed completely. There really isn't any other way around it than through a mechanical process, where they have to scrape away that lining using specific instruments. I guess you could say it's a forceful termination, because honestly, there just isn't a gentle way to go about it. Just something to think about.

silverpuma10, dear, there isn't actually such a thing as an abortion pill. And a Plan B, or the morning-after pill, isn't really a pill in that sense—it’s just a higher dose of contraceptive hormones designed to trigger bleeding, usually within 24 hours. I guess maybe you could talk to your parents about this? Or perhaps a counselor? Most people will probably tell you it’s not a big deal if that's what you've decided, but I think it is serious. An abortion can leave both psychological and physical consequences, and the procedure involves removing the uterine lining along with the pregnancy under local or general anesthesia. I know a girl who went through an abortion, and she's struggling quite a bit because of it now.
