I am looking to schedule an eye exam, though I am honestly at a loss as to where to go, which is why I am turning to this community. Does anyone have a specific ophthalmologist they would recommend? In the past, I have used Mayo Clinic, but I have heard some unsettling things regarding their reliability lately, so I am hesitant to return.
My primary goal is to get an assessment for contact lenses, especially since I deal with significant astigmatism. Furthermore, I am somewhat concerned about certain spots appearing in my field of vision; under specific lighting and contrast, they seem to drift or float across my sight. I have done some light reading on the subject, and I would be interested to hear if anyone else here has dealt with similar symptoms.
