Looking for a specialist... in Health ·

So, here's how you play it: first, you pick out a primary care physician you actually like, then you just give them a call to see if they're currently taking on any new patients. If they say yes, the nurse will hand you a form that’s already been pre-filled with all the info from your Medicare card. Now, you can't just leave it there—you'll have to head over to one of the Medicare offices on Fifth Avenue or Jukić to get those documents officially stamped and verified. Once you've got that certified paperwork back in hand, you swing back by your doctor's office and hand them a copy of the application. And honestly, the best part is that you're effectively set right then and there; as soon as you drop that paper off, you're officially on their roster and can start getting treated by them that very same day.

Thanks a million, mistyjackal842! 🙂

Hey everyone... I wanted to pick your brains about how you actually go about picking your first primary care doctor, dentist, and all that other essential stuff.

Since I'm still relatively new here, I haven't managed to settle in with a permanent GP yet, so I'm curious about how the whole system works... I've got my Medicare coverage sorted out, obviously... and I’m actually heading out to get some supplemental insurance this week, then I guess there's a whole mountain of paperwork to tackle afterward, right? Anyway, since I'm living over in Brooklyn, it would be incredibly convenient if I could just get everything handled through the Brooklyn Police Department clinic area—or wherever the local providers are centered. I’d be super grateful if someone could walk me through the process or maybe point me toward someone reliable... Thanks a million! 🙂
